Well my kids headed back to school yesterday after a wonderful week off for Spring break. We had to deal with some sickness, but we still made some time for fun!!
Since it’s Tuesday, I thought is share my menu I made for next week. I try to do my menus at a set time every week so it’s easier to remember.
Monday: Spaghetti Squash
Tuesday: Chicken fajitas
Thursday: Bowtie chicken
Saturday: Chicken and dumplings
It’s a pretty simple menu really. Right now I’m trying to gather enough recipes for a whole month so that I can switch them out for variety. It’s so easy being able to look at the menu board and know what to get out for supper!!!
Do you have a favorite menu you’d like to share? I’d live to hear from you!!
Happy Wednesday to you!! It is beautiful here yet again and I’m so thankful!! My kids are on Spring break and we’ve really enjoyed getting out in the nice weather.
Since the days are warmer and we will be outside more, I don’t want to spend my evenings in the kitchen scratching my head wondering what on earth I’m gonna fix for supper. I’ve been there, done that, but I don’t want the t-shirt!! Today I sat down and took a little extra time and planned my menu out for the week. If you follow flylady at all then you know habits are a big thing. I’ve recently added making menus to my habits because this is something I’m lacking in. I always have a freezer full of food but no idea what to fix….
So I spent some time on…wait for it, Pinterest! 😉 And came up with a weeks worth of meals. I hope to get a whole month’s worth together and just rotate our favorite. I also thought it’d be fun to come up with names for the days. I’ve heard of this before but never really implemented it. So, here’s my list:
1. Meatless Mondays
2. Taco Tuesdays (I got this from flylady herself)
3. Warned up Wednesdays (leftovers)
4. Thrifty Thursdays (low cost meal)
5. Family’s choice Fridays
6. Soupy Saturdays
We usually eat out with friends on Sunday so u didn’t include that. I went a step further and got online typed in free menu planners and came up with a plan that worked well for me. Just stick it in a picture frame, and voila, a menu board!!
What do you usually do to keep up with your meal planning? Do you have any great tips to share?
